Matte About You Review

I bought the "Matte About You" finisher a few months ago and thought it is time now to give him the attention he deserves, cause I loooove him! After I heard about matte nailpolish for the first time I look for it everywhere, but there weren't any stores in Germany that sold them. Than I found out that there is a finisher that matts your nails and I ordered it for 13,00€. It is a 15ml bottle and was just what i needed!

Es kommt also schon darauf an, was einem persönlich so gefällt.

The first time I tried it over a black nail polish and it amazed me. It has a thick consistency, if your first layer of color polish is dried out the "Matte about you" goes on very well. You could watch matting the color while it is drying. It actually works on every color, but doesn't look that good on every. After about 5 month of using it I would say I like it the most above black, deep violet /green or red. The effect on mint colors nail polish is also kind of cute but in my opinion on some pink colors it looks a bit cheap and Barbie like. Above metal grey colors it gets this sci-fi look. In the end it just depends on what you like personally. I tried to capture the effect in some pictures.

As you can see,  there aren't any light reflections on the matte colors, it is more an unsaturated color. It stays on for about 2 days than it fades a bit and looks like it was polished and get a bit more shiny. But you can put a new layer above and it will look like new.

For me it was worth the 13,00€ cause matte nail polishes are still a bit expensive and with this finisher you can try out of log of color combinations!
