How do you do it?

As everyone is starting to talk about christmas and preparing gift or planing outfits I thought I will use the chance of so many different people from different background to ask you:

How do you celebrate your christmas? And when? I know that it's really different from country to country, but also every family has it's own kind of traditions, so I am really curious, about yours.

My family isn't religious, so we never went to church on the "Heiliger Abend" which is on the 24th of December. In Germany you normally would go to church, after it have your presents under the christmas tree and than have dinner.
So we always went to my aunt and uncle when I was little, there we had some coffee and cake and I got my presents from them. After it, I had to wait at my grandma and grandpa (my greatgrandma was usually there, too) so we played a bit till my mum rang the bell, that was the sign for me to come upstairs. I got my presents. After the "Bescherung" (what is German word for the time when you get your presents) we had dinner. It never was that festive at our family, now special dresses bought just for christmas or so. On the 25th and 26th of December we have two holidays where you also meet with family and relatives to have a more bigger dinner, with really special things. Something traditional would be goose with red cabbage and dumplings.

So now tell me about your christmas traditions.

Thats our balcony on christmastime ♥

There will always be differences

Englisch Version at the end!

At the moment a lot of disscussions are going on in the plus size commmunity. We have the "Crystal Renn - Thinnest Plus Size Model On The Planet"-Thing or the controversial lifestyle change of V.R. More and more people claims that health shoud be above it all and it is wrong to promote obesity by just accepting your fat body as it is.
I ask myself why people still have so many prejudices in their mind.

Just because I am fat, I don't hate skinny people.
Just because I want to see a girl on the fashion mag that is my size, it doesn't mean I mind looking at a size zero.

I try to invite the fashion industries to come over the beauty ideal that is totaly out of reach, and that is mostly promoted by the massive use of Photoshop, I'm not doing that because I envy skinny people or because I would feel better surrounded by people who all look like me. It just would be nice if the ideal of beauty would be a bit more diversified.

With my blog, I don't want to trigger people to stuff themselves with 3 cheesecream cakes and a maxi menu everyday (just like I do it daily, that's why I am looking the way I do), but because I wan to show that everyone can be interested in fashion, not depending on you size, shape or age. I would like to inspire woman who used to hide themselves, and show them that the world can turn the other way arround. And of course I want to disband the prejudices against fat people and show that we are not sitting infront of our TV all day, eating 1kg buckets of chicken wings.

If someone chooses to change their weight, no matter if s/he want to gain or loos weight, it's his/her personal decision. Living healthy and listen to what you body is telling you, is always a good way of living. But I wonder why simultaneously you try to convince everyone else to wake up from their blindness and see that they will ever be happy with their body if they just stay the way they are. That just shows how much we are influenced by the image the media dilivers to us every day: Someone over 80kg just can't be happy. It's nothing more than a pipe dream. No wonder people from the outside always question if we are really happy and not only pretending to be.
In the end all this doesn't just count for beeing fat. If I weigh less then 45kg I am anorexic, if I don't shave my legs and have short hair, I am a lesbian and if liking you wrinkles just isn't possible at all. If you choose your lipcolor matching to your dress, you are nothing more than a silly doll who is to much into fashion.

Our world is full of prejudices and I would love to disband evey single one, but that won't be possible nor it would be nessasary. What is important is that we finally open our eyes and minds and see that everyone is different. Our world is in the middle of this crises where on one hand individuality is requested but on the other the indurstry tried to make people more and more even. If you are different it's okay, but if you are more different than different, you are out.

Nightsky

Hello my lovely new and old followers. We are about to reach 200 readers, I think there might be some giveaway arround christmas time than. Be surprised.

Finally I have some free time. In the last weeks I felt like there was always so much to do, but I took 2 days off and now I have plenty of free time this weekend to do all the things I want to, for ages.
For example dad and me set some white ikea curtain up under my top of the room. Now I can easily take pictures infront of it. I can be really critical when it comes to my own pictures. Not only how I look on them, but how the hole pictures looks, that the light is nice and the background and all this stuff. So I tried it out and took pictures of two things I bought during the last weeks

The first thing is a military tunic from Evans. I like it and it is comfy and looks good, but I was a bit disappointed cause I thought it would be a big longer, so I could use it as a dress. I think it is one of this things that I wouldn't have bought when I would be able to try it on in stores. But nevertheless it's nice and yeah...I like it.

The second thing is a cardigan I am in love with at the moment. I saw it some time ago on Stephs blog and liked it a lot, when I saw that it was on sale on New Looks webside I just had to get it. Is soft and long and also very warm. A friend of mine said to me: "You look like the night sky with lots of stars." And even my boss told me that he like it. The only really really thing that upsets me is, that I am loosing the pearls. When you sit on it, or at the points where your arms are touching the sides and so, the peals are falling of. I think of taking the time to sew every pearl a bit tighter to secure it...

And now I will make myself a tutu and watch Kill Bill *___* ...tomorrow I'll dye my hair, go shopping and finally can play Assassins Creed Brotherhoodd.

OOTD: The Deepest Blues Are Black

My Evans things arrived yesterday and I am so in love with my new shoes. They are amazing comfy and so gorgeous. I also like the other things but I will do a detailed review on the weekend when I hopefully got my new "photo studio" (which will be a white roller blind from ikea).  That's just a quick outfit from my working day. I am so happy that I don't have any regulations there, so I an always wear just want I want.

OOTD: What we've got is gold

I hope all of you have had a great Halloween. Cause the Halloween trend still isn't really big here in Germany there wasn't any dressing up last night. But we have a holiday today "Aller Heiligen" so I went out with some friends last night. After look at other blog post tomorrow I got a bit jealous because so many of you had such a lively costume. I would like to get dresses up for Halloween, too.  Maybe next year...
I still have some outfit pics to show you. They actually are from the weekend before this one. I took the pictures after the party...what you can see cause I look a little wasted and I can'f figure out anymore, why I took pictures late at night when I came home...

I also got some lovely new things from New Look and made a huge order at Evans. I actually saved like 90 Pounds there cause of all this -30% stale stuff and some code for another -20% off the hole order. Now I am waiting for my package to arrive. Sooo excited.
