Operation Bikini

Me and my wardrobe

I just stood infront of my wardrobe not having a clue what to wear. This is how I feel for quite a while now and that might be the reason why I am not posting that many OOTDs lately. Sometimes I am looking at my stuff thinking: "Who the hell has bought this?" I am so disconnected to so much of my dresses and skirts and I have no idea why that is so. There is hardly anything that feels right, I wasn't prepared for summer coming so fast, for over 20°C and so much sunshine. All my leggings faded away at the same time and I feel like not owning one T-Shirt I could wear with my new pair of jeggings. I own so many black things, and I actually really love black, but at the moment it just feels like I am wearing the same stuff over and over again because everything looks the same.
Also when I am looking at online stores, I am so sick of ordering things, not turning out as I thought they would be or not feeling them when I put them on. I think all of this online shopping is one reason for having so much stuff I end up not liking.
And the major thing is that I felt pretty unsure and not so confident in the last weeks, thinking to much about my body and my weight and feeling reduced to it but noticing that sometimes I am the only one who is reducing myself to my weight. I don't know how to say it but ... it is just that sometimes I feel so present, taking so much space and attention and in that moment I feel like just wanting to look a little more plain. But when I am dressing in a jeans and T-Shirt I am not feeling myself and so boring. And at the end of this discussion with myself and the fight in front of my wardrobe I am not longer sure about what or who I really am or what I want to look like. I just feel like I can't focus on any particular style anymore. I feel like I really don't know what I want and that always ends in being even more unsure and NOT confident...

Do you struggle like this too? How to do you make old pieces feel like something new? And what do you do when you have absolutely now idea what to wear?

I Love Myself: Lovely Day.

How does your perfect day look like? I think everyone has thing in their mind. We dream about it and we make it up in our heads. But while we are thinking so much about how a perfect day could look like, we forget to just realize that everyday can be perfect in its very own way.
Stop thinking it a really needful step on the long way of loving and accepting ourselves and also our life. So the conclusion is to look and concentrate on little things that make you happy. To focus and stuff you like to do you feel good in. Or in other words: surround yourself with things that are on the same energy level as you are.
For me today was one of these days.

I woke up in the morning, the sun was out and I had breakfast on the balcony with my mum. The amazon-man brought us an order and I was super excited about a book I bought. It is called "Geschenke aus meiner Küche" what means "Presents from my kitchen" and it is full with stuff you can cook, bake and make to give to other people. My mum and I talked about what we could make for the people whos birthday is coming up in the next month. We really got into the flow and went super creative, lots of ideas spiraling around us. I dicided to make a smal cake for a friends who is celebrating her birhtday tonight.
Then I opened the door for the chimney sweeper, who was really nice and also looking damn good.
I spend a lot of time sitting in the sun and made a tasty lunch with tomatoes, mushrooms, toast roasted in olive oil and salt and some melted feta cheese. In the afternoon mum got some herbs from the garden to dry them, in the kitchen she found a little snail between them, It was so cute and my brother and I acted like 5 years old letting it crawl up ours arms. After that I brought it back down in the garden and thank it for giving me a few minutes of feeling like a child.
Now I am chilling on my bed listening to great german bands enjoying their lyrics. I am looking forward to dressing up for a nice dinner with friends tonight...

Actually a day with nothing to get really excited about. But I haven't felt that inspired and relaxed for quite a long time. So instead of feeling bored by everything and spending your day with thinking try to get in touch with some loveliness. Put your focus on what is there on what you have and on what happens and not on the stuff that are you missing or feeling of having a lack of. Than you'll have the chance to make everyday a perfect day.

Eigentlich kein super besonderer Tag.

I just found that on weheartit.com it is a picture of the old part of my hometown city Bielefeld.

OOTD Sakura no hana

I know, I know it has been a while. But I promise I will come back to blogging this week. I finished my essay and also my internship and now I have two weeks of easter-holidays. We have lovely weather and my mum and me went for a walk to a street full of cherry blossom trees.
